Welcome to the September issue of Purple Post!
As we step into September, it's time to prepare for an exciting new academic year!
In this month’s edition, we learn how our Teaching & Learning team has been busy focusing on CPD, aligning with Ofsted's 'Best Start in Life' initiative, and how our EPA team is working closely with delivery managers to ensure smooth reporting and support for learners nearing completion. We have a new Terrific Testimonial winner and not two, but three How To Guides to share with you to help settings, learners and all staff. Read on!
Team Updates
Lisa Gooding – Teaching, Learning & Curriculum Manager
Teaching & Learning – the team have had a core CPD focus exploring Ofsted’s “Best Start in Life” – this is now being linked to various teaching and learning sessions. The team are also looking into internal CPD for the delivery team and will be looking into some exciting and engaging topics.
EPA – after a busy July the team have spent August working in line with the delivery managers on reporting. This helps the team to have clear visibility on learners who are due for completion and then they can plan for support.

Kirsty Taylor - Training Delivery Manager, South Team
The month of August is a time for reflection and to “breathe” after the busy year end. It’s also a time for many of you to take some well-deserved annual leave and recuperate in preparation for a busy but successful 2024/2025 academic year!
September is when we go up a gear as the term time has finished for our learners and they are back hungry to progress with their qualifications!
We will be saying “goodbye” to our lovely Melissa Taylor when she goes off to have a baby!!
I also think “someone” may be turning 40 in September on the South Team but let’s not dwell on that! 😊
