PURPLE POST August 2024

Welcome to the August issue of Purple Post!

Summer Has Still Not Arrived!

July has been a busy and often challenging month for most teams (not to mention a wash-out too, weather-wise!), but the hard work has paid off with 150 learners entering Gateway, which positively impacts our QAR – something we have been trying to achieve for a while.

Despite the hectic month, we have managed to reduce our ‘at risk’ learners to an all-time low and have streamlined more processes for better enrolments and fewer cancellations. What a great achievement.

Let’s continue the hard work and with that, hopefully, the sun will appear for more than a day or two!

Team Updates

Kirsty Taylor, Training Delivery Manager, South Team

It has been a very busy and sometimes testing July for the South team – We have put 150 learners into Gateway this year to achieve their qualifications, which has positively impacted our QAR!! Massive, massive well done to every one of you!

I have been blown away by the support you have given to each other as a team to achieve our results – I am one very proud Training Delivery Manager. Next year we will reach even more ambitious targets and I know every one of you believes in that same ambition.

For August I would like to ensure we are putting processes in place so that we are set up effectively for next year - and we know what that path to ambition looks like! Next academic year I want us to invest time into our own growth and development. Let’s keep smashing those ceilings, South team 😊

Charlie Gordon, Training Delivery Manage, London & Essex Team

Well, what can I say, it’s been an incredibly busy few months for us in Delivery, we have been working our socks off to ensure we hit our QAR target. I have seen some amazing teamwork in the London and Essex Team - everyone has pulled together to make things happen and I am extremely proud of each of them, seeing their drive and resilience, really has been REMARKABLE. Although we have been focusing on our completions for QAR, we have still managed to get the number of AT RISK learners down to the lowest it’s been, which has been a massive achievement.

In the next few weeks, we will be reflecting on the last year and planning for the next. It has been a pleasure to welcome so many new starts this year and watch the whole team go from strength to strength, I’m excited to see what the future brings for the DREAMTEAM!

Layla MacFadyen, Training, Advice and Guidance Manager

This month we have been streamlining processes to ensure the best quality enrolments and lower cancellations. We’ve been working with the Sales team on this and have already seen improvement! We are also getting ready for the new funding rules changes and new paperwork, and I have been working with Paul Morris-Hill on making our current process more efficient by using automation to support.

In August we are welcoming Donna to our team and sadly we will wave goodbye to Mandy Baker who has been a fantastic part of our Training Advisor team, we wish her the very best on her new adventure.

Anum, Barot

"I have been learning childcare level 3 from Prateema since last summer and it has been a great experience. She is a very thoughtful teacher who puts a lot of thought into how she presents the material. Her lessons were engaging, and useful, and she was very patient with me in class always encouraging me to try. I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in learning. She helped me a lot in my lessons and was always available when I needed extra support, class and help.”
