PURPLE POST - October 2024

Welcome to the October issue of Purple Post!

Autumn is just about upon us and October wouldn’t be October if we didn’t have some spooktacular Halloween Team backgrounds for you!

Here is a reminder of where you will find all the Parenta Teams backgrounds on the staff intranet.

Live Q&A With Allan: 18th September 2024

Here is the recording from September for those who could not attend or would like to watch it again.

Alternatively, we've provided a summary below of all questions asked!

Firstly, and a few people have asked this… how are you feeling? How is life in Dubai compared with Singapore?

OK, back to business!

  1. Please give us an update on the current performance of the company - including the recent summer marketing campaigns you presented to us at the last company update.
  2. Are there any further plans to encourage more starts and customers?
  3. What’s the biggest challenge the company faces right now, and how can we contribute to overcoming it?
  4. What frustrates you most about the business?
  5. What are you most proud of in the business?
  6. What are the company’s top priorities for the rest of 2024 from your perspective and how do these align with the long-term goals/strategy?
  7. What is your vision and strategy for the coming year?
  8. On previous company surveys, we’ve been asked if you could say to Allan one thing you would change about the company, what would it be (or words to that effect). So, what is one thing you would change about the company?
  9. Will there be a pay review?
  10. What is happening with Remarkable Rewards?
  11. Tied in with above, but what is the financial health of the company, i.e. are we above, on par, or below where we expect to be? What does the future look like?
  12. Is the new platform Bud going ahead? If so, do we have an expected timeframe?
  13. Any plans for tutors to have printed business/contact cards? They could include details of the referral scheme?

In summary, Allan acknowledged the team’s frustrations, particularly around QAR, but urged everyone to stay focused. He highlighted the importance of pushing through current tasks – from getting those completions in, especially those who don’t need functional skills, tackling OOFs, and reducing WDs. By completing these tasks, we could then unlock £500,000, which can be reinvested into future projects, including boosting social engagement efforts and looking at pay reviews. Allan emphasised the success of the May event and expressed hopes to organise another one before the year’s end or early next year. He stressed the importance of increasing social engagement moving forward. Although the numbers for starts and QAR aren’t quite where we want them, Allan praised the team’s dedication and highlighted the real difference they make in children’s lives. He urged everyone to take pride in their work and the positive feedback they receive every day.

Let’s keep moving forward and build on our successes!

Our Remarkable Testimonials

We cannot believe it, but everyone that received a testimonial, all received the same number of testimonials each!

Which means, unfortunately, there is no testimonial winner for September, as it was a tie.

To avoid this happening in October, remember to keep sharing out the testimonial links below!

Receive the MOST amount of testimonials and you are guaranteed to win the £50 Amazon Voucher.

“Alison was such a help to me during my time doing my level three. She was very patient with me and helped me not just with my course, but in my personal life if I didn’t have her as a shoulder to cry on, I don’t know if I would’ve been able to, survive the three years of doing my apprenticeship. She was a rock to me and a mum along with a few other ladies in the company. Nour, Andrea and Yvonne… thank you so much ladies."

“Pippa is a brilliant teacher. She has a really good way of explaining things simply.”

Rani, Kauser

"Absolutely amazing Rebecca and the other English and math tutors have been so supportive and helpful! Throughout my time with Parenta!"

India, Beer

"Mandy has been with me for the last 3 years, she has supported me through my level 2 in child care and now my level 3. I couldn’t have done it without her! I feel so much more confident as a practitioner and I have Mandy to thank for that!"

Well done, keep them coming!
