Reminders from the People team

Happy New Year from the People team:

From everyone in the People team, we just wanted to wish you all a very happy New Year! We hope you are all fully rested and managed to relax during the break.

BreatheHR update:

BreatheHR is shut down for the first 4 working days of the year as the People team adjust and amend all annual leave.

Pay reminder:

Your December pay will be paid today as this is the first working day of the month.

Meet Jules - the new member of the People team:

Hi! I’m Jules and I’m the new HR Assistant. Before Joining Parenta, I worked for a recruitment agency called Premier Work Support and before that I was at the Co-op for 11 years. I’m fresh off maternity leave with a 9-month-old baby girl and loving every second of being here!

Important: polite Reminder from the Marketing Team:

When sending documents to the Marketing team for creating and / or branding, please ensure that the final version which has been approved and signed off by all relevant parties and line managers - including those from other teams – is sent to the team. Please also ensure that the correct data with all the required fields is included as a CSV file.  This will avoid re-work and delay in returning the documents back to you.

Thank you!

Meet our new Parenta joiners!

See below some of our fabulous new colleagues working in our Parenta family!

Remember, if you are a new joiner or have a new colleague in your team, please send over an image and short bio to marketing@parenta.com for all of us to see and welcome you!

Jules McGowan - HR Assisstant

Jules used to work for a Recruitment Agency. She loves to learn new things and has joined Parenta to be a part of an organisation that helps teach others.

In her spare time she looks after her 9 month old who can be a handful. Jules also sees her friends and family regularly.

Sebastian Free - Digital Marketing Assistant

Sebastian previously worked in marketing for a Freight Forwarding Company and has joined us due to a great job opportunity and Parenta's friendly atmosphere.

In his spare time, Seb likes to stay active with his hobbies, including mountain biking, traveling, target shooting, skiing, playing the piano - to name a few!

Usman Qasim - Functional Skills Tutor

Usman used to work for another training company and has joined us for a new challenge and to work alongside the best in the industry. His aim is to make lesson delivery engaging, interesting and meaningful for our learners.

In Usman's spare time he enjoys building and upgrading 3D printers, designing CAD models and laser cutting.

Please don’t forget to use the staff intranet – it’s packed with resources to help us, our learners and our settings

A reminder that all Parenta resources to help ourselves, our learners and settings can be found here on our intranet, all in one handy place.

We publish additional industry expert advice, news articles and crafts in our free

Entice new customers with the power of testimonials!

We have received an amazing testimonial from our Training Advisor, Emily Bridger, who was described by one of our customers as 'a breath of fresh air'.  Well done Emily!

The positive endorsements that we receive from our existing customers are not only a great way for giving praise to the individuals or teams concerned, but are used as a valuable marketing tool to attract new customers!

Please ensure that after every positive interaction you have with a customer you ask them if they would be willing to send in a short testimonial and then follow up with the usual link https://www.parenta.com/testimonial/

Thank you for today Emily, you have been a breath of fresh air from Parenta! Please pass on my compliments to your supervisor as you have been very helpful!

Did you know?

The 17th January is Brew Monday!

What is Brew Monday?
Brew Monday is a day associated with 'Blue Monday', where thousands of people come together to enjoy a cup of tea, chat to friends and family but most importantly, try to get rid of the winter blues.

The last couple of years have been particularly tough for many people and with a concerning rise in people suffering with their mental health, this event could be the perfect excuse to get in touch and talk to someone about any concerns, or just to have a general chit chat!
