CPD:
With our anticipated Ofsted Inspection, it is important that we complete all CPD mandatory courses. These are:
· Safeguarding for Children Certificate
· Prevent Duty Certificate
· Equality, Diversity & Discrimination Awareness
· Health and Safety for Homeworkers
· GDPR
· Modern Slavery Awareness
· Display Screen Equipment Awareness
· Safer Recruitment (For Managers)
Once you’ve completed your course, please send the certificate to HR so we can update your records.
Update from the Functional Skills team
From August 2022, ICT will no longer be funded. With this in mind, Joanne Flynn has created a number of intense, 5-week courses to assist the remaining current learners. Information on how to book on to these courses has been sent to all relevant learners. It is vital they attend these courses, and then complete their mock exam – to enable Joanne to assess the learners’ exam readiness.
Mental Health Awareness week
In recent years, mental health has moved from a taboo subject to a mainstream one, and more and more people are opening up about their own struggles with mental health, to help themselves, and ultimately to try to help others in a similar position. Loneliness is the focus for this year’s Mental Health Awareness week – find out how you can identify and recognise the different types of loneliness and
read our article for some tips and useful links.

Important: polite reminder from the Marketing Team:
When sending documents to the Marketing team for creating and / or branding, please ensure that the FINAL version which has been approved and signed off by all relevant parties and line managers - including those from other teams – is sent to the team. Please also ensure that the correct data with all the required fields is included as a CSV file. This will avoid re-work and delay in returning the documents back to you.
Thank you!
Please don’t forget to use the staff intranet – it’s packed with resources to help us, our learners and our settings
A reminder that all Parenta resources to help ourselves, our learners and settings can be found here on our intranet, all in one handy place.
We publish additional industry expert advice, news articles and crafts in our free
magazine and on our
blog .
Here are this month’s How to Guides and documents added to the staff intranet:

Entice new customers with the power of testimonials!
The positive endorsements that we receive from our existing customers are not only a great way for giving praise to the individuals or teams concerned, but are used as a valuable marketing tool to attract new customers!
Please ensure that after every positive interaction you have with a customer you ask them if they would be willing to send in a short testimonial and then follow up with the usual link https://www.parenta.com/testimonial/
“Lovely company. Used the software for years at our Nursery. Attentive and supportive at all times when we needed any help.
We had to close sadly due to government infrastructure and Parenta kept our website accessible so we can work on it ready should we re open. Always someone friendly & cheerful at the end of the phone or emails. Thank you Parenta!"
