Hello everyone and welcome to the March edition of Purple Post.
This month has been hard for everyone, and with so many changes happening around us, we all feel under pressure. That's why it's important for us to support each other in these uncertain times. But if you feel that you would benefit from some confidential, professional help, we have a list of websites which can help you, because your mental and physical wellbeing are the most important things right now!
We would like to thank you for all the messages of support sent to Allan and to reassure you that he and the SMT are working hard to support everyone! Here are some of the comments Allan has received:
"Thank you for the ongoing updates Allan. The transparency that you are giving us is very much appreciated in these uncertain and very difficult times. We are a family and appreciate everything the Head of our family is doing for us."
"Hi Allan, thanks for keeping us up to date. I know that you and SMT are working very very hard to make this work, it is not gone unnoticed! Thank you for everything that you are doing! Hope your keeping well and safe too :)"
"I could not be prouder to work for a company such as this. We all pull together through the worst time any of us have experienced. I cannot praise SMT enough for all their hard work trying to save our jobs and alongside this making us the best we can be along the way."
And if you haven't seen it yet,
here is the link to Allan's update which he issued to the company on Tuesday, 31st March.
Help get our message out there!
It’s important for all of us to stick together during these testing times. With all of our cost saving efforts, it is crucial that we do our very best to help grow the awareness of Parenta in the most cost effective way possible. With the collective help of all of you, the Parenta staff, we would like to ask if everyone could share Parenta’s social media posts on your personal profiles. This is optional, however every bit of awareness we can generate for our services will help.
Here’s how you can help.
Resources
Now more than ever our customers need us. A reminder that all Parenta resources to help our learners and settings can be found right here on our staff intranet -
all in one place.
We continue to support our customers across all areas of the business by sending them regular news and advice, holding helpful webinars and giving them software support remotely.
Please don’t underestimate the importance of testimonials – especially during these difficult times.
Please ensure that after every positive interaction you have with a customer you ask them if they would be willing to send in a short testimonial and then follow up with the link:
We continue to receive great testimonials from our customers, even when we are in the midst of a global pandemic!
Here are some from March…
First class customer service. Amie was polite and professional. She talked me through several problems I had (operator error from my side) and always gentle with an old girl like myself. We talked about how I could do something in the future and she reassured me this is something that would be changing in the future.
Considering your staff are working from home, that service I received I thought was as excellent as it always is. Well done Amie, I will no doubt have more problems as it is quiet here for me to test your system further.
Stay safe and well everyone.
Linda Innes, St Johns Nursery
I’m writing to give some feedback on my recently completed level 3 course in childcare. I had the most amazing ongoing support from Danielle. I found her very approachable and we were able to form a very good working relationship where I felt very happy to ask for feedback and support. She went over and beyond her role to support me, helping me to record my knowledge and research to suit my strengths. We did a lot of professional discussions - many of these were early evening and I believe she may have accommodated me by working very flexibly! Overall, I feel very lucky to have had such a knowledgeable, hardworking assessor and feel proud to have achieved my qualification!

We have been using Parenta for over 10 years now and find the system very good. We have added Day share and Footsteps and found them a really useful tool. All the staff at the helpline are amazing and any problems/queries are sorted straight away.

Well what can I say about our Rosie. Was she sat there in her PJ's and dressing gown, yawning down the phone, sounding like she had just woken up? Not at all.. she was her usual bubbly self. Always happy to help an old girl who clearly had a mental block on how to use Footsteps reports. She was upbeat and showed a caring side by asking if we were keeping safe and how we were coping (I did mention that being locked in with the husband for the next few months, I may come out of this crisis either being an alcoholic or a murderer, if he continues to breath or blink loudly, I think we both know which it will be!) . Just checking in on how we were personally showed the compassion and empathy she has for Parenta's clients. A first class, professional, fun, jolly call with Rosie had set me up for the rest of my day. Thank you everyone on the customer service team for being so fabulous and helping old girls like me to continue to do my job too. Stay safe, and stay away from the fridges and snack cupboards whilst at home!!! xx

New Apprenticeship Standards
We are still working hard on creating new documents and putting new processes in place in preparation for the new apprenticeship Standards. Here are the latest documents:
Staff referral competition!
During the month of March we ran a staff referral competition and the member of staff with the highest number of referrals who has won £50 Love2Shop vouchers is Katie Maclean with 7 referrals. Well done Katie! We will get the voucher to you as soon as we can – something to look forward to once we are allowed back into the shops!
Say Cheers to your Peers!
Thanks to all those who have been giving kudos – keep it going! The winner of March's Parenta employee of the month goes to Tom Kozinski - congratulations!
Don't forget you can start voting for our April employee of the month already. Keep that Kudos coming and please give recognition for all the hard work our colleagues are doing.
