Introducing ....."Trashy Tuesdays"!
Parenta’s new litter picking team meet on a Tuesday lunchtime and has already made a difference to the local area. Jamie and Amelia who formed the team said; “Our first litter picking session was a success! We worked for 30 minutes and the alleyway next to the Parenta building looks so much nicer. In the short time that we were picking up litter, we filled up two bin bags – who would have thought it? The plan moving forward is to take on a small area at a time. We don’t expect everyone to join us every week but it would be fab if people could join us whenever they are able to… the team has grown already. The strangest thing we have found so far is a pair of knickers… ewwww!”
Litter picking aside, the team has been making us more environmentally conscious by labelling the bins in the office clearly and making signs advising us what can and cannot be recycled. They say they have noticed a difference in the amount of things that are being correctly recycled already!
Did you know ….
The paper towels and plastic cups we have in our office are not recyclable? The paper towels are, in fact, compostable...but if in doubt, throw it out!
New features for Dayshare and Abacus
Our Abacus customers can keep their accounts and reporting more accurate with new payment types added and Dayshare users can now export registers - which is great news!
