Hello everyone and welcome to the April edition of Purple Post.
Now more than ever our customers need us. Whether that be settings needing to stay open for key workers, or learners trying to gain their qualification - or even continue their learning and start a new course. We are communicating with all our customers on a regular basis, giving them advice and guidance plus information about extra tuition from their assessors. The Starts team are also enrolling learners on new courses, that’s no mean feat, considering the circumstances we are in!
Resources
A reminder that the most recent Parenta resources to help our learners and settings can be found right here on our staff intranet - all in one place. We update the pages regularly and we've recently added new Standards resources, company resources and updated assessor resources
and our training brochures.
Parenta Childcare Webinar:
“one month in – how our world in childcare has changed”
On 27th April, we held our first large scale webinar which was open to everyone working within the childcare sector – and we are pleased to report that it was a huge success!
Over 400 people registered to attend and the Q&A session with our industry experts was very well received - the engagement on the day was phenomenal! Here are just a few comments received so far:
The webinar was fantastic and provided a forum to learn easily and I was able to choose many topics of interest during the session.
“It was lovely to be able to join in, ask questions and get some helpful answers and information”
Thank you for today to the host and all the conductors. I thoroughly believe it was very useful and I have learned quite a few things. I'm also happy to know that organisation like you put all the effort out to keep us informed and help in every way you can.
Thank you for putting today’s webinar together. Wonderful, I enjoyed it and have already sent a video out to the children asking them to finish off my story about the Paint Pots teddy bear!
Mental Health is an issue which affects so many people but not everyone lets it show if they are struggling mentally or emotionally; or are in a situation where they feel vulnerable.
Following the success of our sessions last month, the customer experience team are running more Abacus webinars to help our customers through these difficult times. The feedback received so far has been amazing! Here are just a couple – more next month from the others!
Jamie was good at responding to questions asked and have information in a very clear way. I would very much like to have more training on Abacus as it was helpful to learn how to navigate around the system even better.
That was very good and you were very clear and it was easy to follow. I think these webinars are a good idea and a good refresher, especially as we have been using the system for over 11 years and always good to see anything new.”
Allan’s Updates
We would like to thank all of you for attending Allan’s company updates, especially those who are furloughed but decide to keep in touch. He and the SMT are still working tirelessly to support everyone and keep the business running.
