PURPLE POST - May 2026
Welcome to your May issue of Purple Post!
It’s been another busy and positive month across Parenta, with teams continuing to strengthen the support we provide to learners, employers and each other. From new enhancements to the enrolment experience and a strong focus on safer sleeping guidance, to record-breaking webinar engagement and fantastic learner feedback, there’s plenty to celebrate with our ‘customer first, second and third’ approach
TEAM UPDATES
Lisa Gooding – Teaching, Learning & Curriculum Manager
The team is focusing on new guidance around Safer Sleeping – the new guidance and information will be linked to a range of masterclasses across all levels and embedded into tasks.
Attendance remains at 70%, and the team are always working diligently to improve this.
Four members of the team are currently working towards the Level 5 Learning & Skills Teacher qualification. The ladies are making excellent progress and are effectively linking their existing knowledge to the standard. I am very proud of their achievements to date and would like to commend their commitment and efforts. I would also like to thank Nicky N for her valuable support of the team in her role as mentor.
The EPA team, as you can imagine, are extremely busy supporting learners through their End Point Assessments. They remain focused on helping learners prepare for their final mock exams and continue to deliver group sessions to support MCQs and direct observations. The coaches’ hard work and dedication are outstanding, especially when combined with the additional support they provide to employers and learners who require reasonable adjustments.
Layla MacFadyen – Training Advice and Guidance Manager
We’ve recently introduced enhancements to our enrolment process to better support our learners from the start of their journey.
As part of this, all learners now complete a Digital Skills Assessment at enrolment. This helps us understand their current level of digital confidence and capability, allowing tutors to tailor support throughout the programme where needed.
In addition, learners are now completing a new Cognitive Assessment at the start of their programme. The insights from this enable tutors to identify whether a learner may benefit from additional monitoring, review, or targeted support, ensuring everyone has the best possible chance to succeed.
Recently, we have had feedback from our learners about their enrolment experience, and I am proud to share the following:
Aylin Tan – Home From Home
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“All the explanations were very clear. The process was quite quick. Everything was so smooth.”
Courtney Lloyd – Wise Owl Private Day Nursery
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“They explained everything thoroughly and made sure I understood what they were telling me. I don’t think they needed to improve, I think they were great!”
Zoe Critchlow – Munchkins
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Everything was discussed in detail, very helpful. All questions were answered with plenty of information and advice for after my apprenticeship.”
I’m really proud of the team for creating such a positive and supportive enrolment experience, and look forward to continuing to build on this, continuously improving the customer experience in line with our new Mantra: "Customer first, Customer second, Customer third!"
