Welcome to the May edition of Purple Post!

As we embrace the arrival of summer, it’s the perfect time to celebrate our collective achievements and remarkable experiences in 2023 so far.

It has been fantastic to see the heart-warming testimonials and accolades being shared on Teams and other public platforms. Let’s continue this trend and spread the positivity far and wide!

Also, some new faces have joined the Parenta family so be sure to reach out and welcome them.

Now for the team updates where you’ll find all the latest news and information to keep you in the loop.

Reminder from the People team

Don’t forget to attend our coffee mornings which are held every Friday at 11am!

These brief 30-minute virtual gatherings are a time to indulge in a little relaxation and camaraderie to kickstart the well-deserved weekend!

Engage in delightful conversations and share stories with your fellow colleagues over your preferred beverage.

Here is the Teams calendar link.

Reminder from the CX team

A new process to help handle WD/disengaged learner queries more effectively has been implemented!

Please can we ask all tutors with WD/disengaged learner queries to complete this simple online form instead of messaging/emailing.

The form includes an “urgency rating” to help us prioritise issues and ensure that urgent queries receive immediate attention.

To access the online form, please use the following link: https://forms.gle/P59XztByjrKvoMnf6

By following this new process, we can efficiently address WD/disengaged learner queries and provide the best possible support to our learners and settings!

The continuing adventures of Parenta Bear

The Parenta Bear has been on the ultimate European adventure this month! Jet-setting across the channel to attend a very special event - a wedding! Whilst enjoying the sun and food, Parenta Bear has left his paw prints on the beaches and streets of Italy.🍕

Where will the Parenta Bear go next?

Don’t forget to send in your pictures of whatever your bear has been doing, to marketing@parenta.com! It is such a good way to keep us connected!

We have a Kudos winner for May – it’s Functional Skills Tutor Khaleda Begum, well done, Khaleda!

We caught up with last month’s winner, Darryll Jones and this is what he had to say about working in the Parenta family:

“My name is Darryll, and I work as an Early Years tutor in the Central Region Team. I have worked in Parenta for a little over 4 years, where I have been able to gain new qualifications as well as learn a lot within my role. I joined Parenta from being deputy manager at a nursery, where I gained a lot of experience in early years and saw it as an opportunity to have a change and support others to gain their qualification, as my assessor did with me.

Although I can find prioritising the various priorities challenging in my job role, I do enjoy supporting others and try to do this as and when I can whilst supporting my learners and keeping them engaged to the best of my ability.

In the few years that I have been here I have been able to create a very supportive network within my team, for example, Nichola Reed, who often helps me progress in my role if I have queries or need additional support with progressing learners or carrying out appointments. I have also been able to create a supportive network outside of my own team which has allowed me to gain a better understanding of how things work outside of my role.

I like the flexibility of my role as it allows me to address things in my personal life whilst still being able to continue progressing in my role.

I am surprised about the kudos but appreciate them from those who sent them!

Many thanks, Darryll.”

Requesting Creative work from the Marketing Team – please read

We are excited to have launched the marketing ticketing system in Zoho Desk and thank you so much to all those who are using it. All managers have access to this and have been sent instructions on how to submit a ticket with the relevant information you need the team to produce, brand or create for you.

It’s been agreed that only managers should be sending approved work to marketing to avoid everyone pulling in different directions.
