PURPLE POST July 2023

Welcome to the July edition of Purple Post!

This month we focus on the terrific testimonials and rave reviews that are just flowing in – we hope that everyone agrees that it’s amazing to see such positivity from our settings and learners, let’s keep the momentum going! We also have news of our second summer sizzler, and we can reveal that the Parenta blog on parenta.com has been ranked 11th globally and 2nd in the UK – more on that later!

This issue will be the last before we go back to how we used to receive the Purple Post newsletter - (for those who remember…) in glorious technicolour, in hard copy format, and delivered directly to our front door!

A message and update from Kirsty Taylor, Training Delivery Manager, South East Region

“So… Southeast team, another busy productive month with all the trials and tribulations of year-end! You have all shown true dedication, resilience and grit this month. Year-end is always tough but as completions runs into the marathon stages of the race, we have truly made an impact. Let’s all just take a minute to reflect in August on the rollercoaster ride that has been the last 6 months (much longer for some); we now see caseloads dropped, OOFs being cleared, engagement being more of a focus and overdue reviews dropping week on week.

We have so much more to come for the future of Parenta and I can’t wait to see what else we can achieve. Thank you again to all of you for your dedication!”

Completions update from Lisa Roper, Head of Delivery & Quality

Annually in July, the ESFA publishes the current position on Qualification Achievements Rates (QAR) data, based on achievements up to the end of May.

This is the first opportunity we have to validate our data against the official ESFA data. As you can see in the data table below, our confirmed QAR rate at the end of May was 52.4% - a great improvement from this time last year. Our internal data showed the same outcome and so we are confident that with our current profiling and forecasts, we are on track to secure our 60% achievement rate by our final return in October.

This is a fantastic achievement and a significant improvement on our 21/22 data at 26.6% QAR Achievement!

The National Achievement Rate for Standards in 21/22 was 51.4% so that is the benchmark. The ESFA Accountability Framework 'Good' criteria is 60% or above.

The continuing adventures of Parenta Bear – celebrating the Bear’s first anniversary!

Parenta Bear's new adventures have been nothing short of delightful! Embracing the spirit of summer, Parenta welcomed family members from afar to Scotland, where they embarked on a journey filled with joy and exploration.

In the vibrant city of Edinburgh, they relished in brunches that offered delectable treats and indulged in endless cups of aromatic coffee. Along their escapades, Parenta bear crossed paths with a friendly dog named Jeff.

Capturing the spontaneous magic of the moment, they found themselves in an impromptu photoshoot at a bustling café, creating cherished memories of an unforgettable Scottish holiday.

Don’t forget to send in your pictures of whatever your bear has been doing, to marketing@parenta.com! It is such a good way to keep us connected!

We have a Kudos winner for July – it’s MIS and Compliance Manager Chelsie Best, well done, Chelsie! 🏆

We caught up with last month’s winner, Beth Cane and this is what she had to say about working in the Parenta family:

“Hi, I'm Beth and I've been part of the marketing team for two years. I work on a wide range of tasks, covering a bit of everything from websites to research, to creative work and more. I'd like to say a big thank you to those who gave me kudos, and a special thanks to my wonderful team.”

What have our customers said this month?

This month has been incredible for 5* reviews and testimonials.

“I just wanted to drop an email to say about Anca. I wanted to just say how helpful she has been throughout my whole course, and has helped me to achieve a distinction in my EPA. I just want to also say that she has been amazing throughout and so supportive when I was really struggling. She is so lovely and such a good mentor.

If I ever needed help with any assignments, she would always be able to answer any questions that I had no matter how big or small they were. She also reassured me when I felt like I wasn’t doing so well.”

Ellie

“Very professional, they are always available to answer any questions you might have. I would highly recommend their website service!”

Muhammed Khan

“Rang the helpline just to get clarification on what I needed to do to give notice. Quickly told on what to do and response was quick with advice on what I may need to download before the end.”

Denise Harper-Smith

I am currently doing my level 5 management course with Parenta. They have been amazing and always willing to help. My tutor has been supportive and willing to be on call whenever I need her. The teaching is excellent, I would recommend Parenta to anyone.

Laticia Shirley

Brilliant experience with parenta. I enjoyed and looked forward to every session with Fiona. The professional discussions relating to both placement and course related were invaluable to my work. The stretch and challenge tasks were brilliant for drawing out any gaps in my knowledge and were really useful with work related dilemas. The tasks were very well explained and the feedback was always prompt and detailed.

I came away from each session feeling fantastic and ethused about my training and my role in the nursery. Thank you.

The first aid was brilliant too.

Alexandra Pink

Parenta are such a lovely helpful team, they always complete the work quickly and efficiently, they are also very patient with lots of add on requests!

Sarah Hutton

I can not Thank Tonni Linton-Williams my parenta Tutor enough. Thank you for all your help, advice and support with training and with personal care. Big Thank you xxx

Kevin Plant

From the moment I called to ask about enrolling some of my employees onto a course, the people I spoke to were very helpful. My employees were booked in quite quickly to enrol and they were given my choice of tutor as I specified that she was very efficient, came to observe the staff training, in the setting ( I felt like this was very important) and I liked all my employees training to have the same tutor.

My staff training seem very happy and are doing well on their course with the support of their tutor, who they feel they can contact when they need extra support or help with something.

Bright Little Stars Nursery

I have been using Parenta for over a year now as an employer and also did my Level 3 through Parenta many years ago. My experience has always been positive especially with our current Early Years Tutor Anita. She is very supportive and always goes the extra mile. We will certainly be using Parenta again in the future.

The Playhouse Nursery

Anita is very supportive and takes the time to really listen to and guide the staff. She always makes herself available for meetings and takes on board comments and feedback.

Bright Little Stars Barnet

A special shout-out goes to Anita Vaghji who was sent a £50 Amazon Gift Card as a reward for getting so many fantastic testimonials.

Requesting Creative work from the Marketing Team – please read

The marketing ticketing system in Zoho Desk has been up and running now for a few months - thank you so much to all those who are using it. All managers have access to this and have been sent instructions on how to submit a ticket with the relevant information you need the team to produce, brand or create for you.

It’s been agreed that only managers should be sending approved work to marketing to avoid everyone pulling in different directions.
